OPEKS ENERGOSYSTEMY carries out the selection and supply of spiral heat exchangers for viscous and contaminated media, complex technological processes. This is a unique type of heat exchange equipment that allows easy disassembly for maintenance and complete cleaning of heat exchange surfaces with a high-pressure water jet or mechanically.
The idea of forming channels of the heat exchange surface by twisting 2 flat metal sheets for the flow of media containing solid inclusions belongs to a Swedish engineer. The first spiral heat exchangers were installed at a pulp and paper mill. Later, they have found wide application in many industrial technological processes. To intensify heat transfer and create a turbulent current in the channels between the steel sheets, rods are welded with different pitch or a wire is welded onto the smooth surface of the sheet.
Spiral heat exchangers are used for heat exchange with liquids and gases, for single-phase and multi-phase heat transfer processes.
The most common use of spiral heat exchangers for solving technological problems in the pulp and paper industry (various types of solutions); chemical industry (titanium dioxide, latex, synthetic media); food industry (wort, oils, pastes, syrups); oil refining industry (petroleum products, heavy oils); municipal energy (waste water heat recovery) and others.
