We present an updated cyclone steam separator manufactured by OPEKS ENERGOSYSTEMA with an inner spiral made of stainless steel. The steam separator is produced with an improved moisture removal system, thanks to the spiral, which is adapted to better swirl the flow and, as a result, throw moisture droplets onto the separator walls. Dehumidification efficiency, even for very humid steam, is at least 98%!

The separator is designed to dry steam by removing moisture from it in steam transportation systems, on incoming steam supply pipelines for steam-using equipment and other systems.

Dry steam increases thermal efficiency, which manifests itself in a decrease in the amount of steam consumed for various technological processes, increases the service life and service intervals of shut-off and control valves, heat exchange equipment, and improves the quality of products produced with the help of steam.

Steam dehydration in OPEKS-1-SC separators is due to a high-speed cyclone that creates centrifugal force that separates moisture droplets from steam. The condensate is collected at the bottom of the separator and is continuously discharged into the condensate line by means of a condensate drain, which must be installed in the drain line. As a condensate drain, it can be installed as a float type, and, a more budgetary option, a thermodynamic type. The OPEKS-1-SC cyclone separator can be manufactured with an operating pressure of 16 or 25 barg and a maximum operating temperature of up to 300 ° C.
