Film evaporators from the OPEKS ENERGOSYSTEM company
Film evaporators are used when it is necessary to cool the circulating water, as a coolant, to temperatures close to 0 ° C, when there is a real danger of ice crust formation on heat exchange surfaces. Other types of vaporizers can be damaged by ice when used in similar conditions.
The film evaporator consists of a package of corrugated plates, which is a heat exchange surface, onto which cooled water is supplied from above through a distribution manifold. A refrigerant (freon) enters the plate pack, which, during boiling, cools the water.
The cooled water enters an insulated ice water collection tank and goes for the needs of the technological process.
Film evaporators are made of stainless steel. Since the plate pack is actually open from all sides, it is easy to clean the heat exchange surfaces, which is important for the food industry.
Since film evaporators are mainly used to produce chilled water for food processing purposes, the closer the water temperature is to the freezing point (0 ° C), the better.
Film evaporators are an ideal solution for deep cooling of circulating water, since the heat exchange process takes place in open channels of sufficient width, even the formation of ice cannot harm the film evaporator.
Ice water is necessary, first of all, in the food industry, at enterprises producing cheeses, ice cream, yoghurts, in the production of bread and confectionery, and other products.
