Solving the problem of pumping condensate at the creamery

As part of the introduction of new equipment and technologies, engineers of a large butter and cheese plant analyzed and compared various options for ensuring the return of condensate from technological equipment. In numerous production processes taking place at the plant, steam is used, which, after completing the work, in the form of condensate enters the tank for receiving and collecting condensate, after which it must enter the water feed tank for the boiler room, which is located higher in level and at a linear distance.

The result of the work carried out was several solutions, of which the most optimal was selected and implemented - a mechanical condensate pump was purchased and installed. The pump was delivered by the specialists of OPEKS ENERGOSYSTEMY. The condensate pump pumps the condensate by displacing the condensate with higher pressure steam. A mechanical condensate pump in continuous automatic mode has been carrying out the process of returning condensate to the feed water tank for the boiler room for more than two years. The pump is equipped with check valves to prevent backflow of the pumped medium.

Решение проблемы перекачки конденсата на маслосырзаводе

Operational characteristics.

Working time: 2 years 6 months.

Operating costs for the period of continuous operation: replacement of one spring of the mechanism made of stainless steel (1 year 2 months), replaced by a similar one, made in Russia (customer's decision).

Bottom line: Mechanical condensate pumps have proven their high reliability and can be used as a good alternative to electric pumps for pumping high-temperature condensate.
