The reduction unit is designed to reduce and automatically maintain the pressure of steam or compressed air to the required value.
The main structural elements of the reduction node:
- pressure reducing valve (direct acting, pilot type or electric)

The required pressure can be set manually, by a pressure gauge or from the dispatching console automatically according to the readings of the pressure sensor.
