Shell-and-tube heaters are designed for heating and hot water supply systems, in which the coolant is hot water obtained from industrial heat sources or from the incoming coolant through heat pipelines of CHPPs.
Shell-and-tube heat exchangers can also be used in other schemes in which it is required to heat or cool a liquid (for example, as condensate coolers for steam-water heaters). Steam-water heaters are used as part of heating systems, where saturated or superheated steam acts as a heat carrier. They are widely used in boiler houses of industrial enterprises to obtain a coolant, the required parameters, for technological purposes, or for heating administrative buildings, dormitories, social facilities.
Shell-and-tube heat exchanger is a heat exchanger, which is a bundle of pipes fixed between two tube sheets, installed in a so-called shell, which is a pipe of a larger diameter. One of the media enters the tube bundle, the other enters the annular space.
